About Nutritional Medicine

Nutritional Medicine provides a holistic outlook on how nutrition influences our health, the relationship between diet and disease, as well as a focused understanding of how nutrients, food and lifestyle factors can affect one's overall state of health.

Degree-qualified holistic nutritionists combine traditional food wisdom with current scientific advances in nutritional biochemistry to treatments that are tailored to the individual's unique needs. This may include recommendations with high quality nutritional supplements to correct any underlying biochemical imbalances.

As a holistic nutritionist specialising in mental health, Sarah looks beyond presenting symptoms and instead aims to work with her clients in identifying underlying factors that may trigger or exacerbate emotional, behavioural and cognitive imbalances. Sarah achieves this through thorough case taking, pathology and functional testing (if necessary). Sarah uses all the information gathered to creates a treatment plan with personalised recipes that aims to teach clients how they can effectively nourish and nurture their mental and emotional wellbeing according to their unique needs. In home wellbeing support and cooking sessions may also be included in this plan to further facilitate positive change. Mindful massage is also another therapy offered to nurture the mind body connection and promote healing and stress relief.  Sarah enjoys taking a collaborative approach with medical professionals and other health care practitioners to assist her clients in the management of their health and reaching their full potential.
